July 1, 2015 Asked to write a story on the use of mobile app in covenant university. Covenant university is a school that does not allow sim enabled mobile devices but still students uses other mobile gadget like iPods, iPads, tablets and laptops, these gadgets allows a wide range of mobile applications from social, lifestyle, business and also games. There is also the advent of an application unique to CU that is the edu-social application, this allow all students of covenant university to connect together for social activities and for academic work also wherever they are, with the application tutorials, group chat and so on Is made possible and all students has been given cu branded tabs to enable everyone to have the application and connect. Mobile application is very much in use in cu, an average CU student has at least 10 to 12 mobile applications, they mostly make use of the social applications because CU students have a high rate of social media presence on twitter, Instagram,Facebook, snapchat, Skype etc. Mobile applications allows the student to connect easily and faster without typing the “www” and there are now some social networks that can only be accessed with its specialized application e.g snapchat.
